ECHO HOTELS, the operator of the website www.echo-hotels.co.il, places great importance on providing equal service to all customers and on improving the service offered to persons with disabilities. We invest significant resources in making our website and digital assets accessible in order to make our services more available to persons with disabilities.

In Israel, approximately 20 percent of the population are persons with disabilities who require digital accessibility in order to consume general information and services. Making the ECHO HOTELS website accessible is intended to make it available, user-friendly, and easier to use for audiences with special needs, including motor disabilities, cognitive impairments, low vision, blindness or color blindness, hearing impairments, and older adults.

This website was made accessible by the web accessibility company “Vee Accessibility”.

Accessibility Level on the Website: AA

The Vee team adapted the website’s accessibility for the most common browsers and for mobile use as much as possible, and used JAWS and NVDA screen readers in its testing.

The website complies with the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations 5568 (2013), at AA level. It also implements the recommendations of WCAG 2.2 issued by the W3C.

The website was made accessible in accordance with the guidance of the Government ICT Authority for making web applications accessible in internet browsers.

How to Activate Accessibility Mode

An accessibility icon appears on the website, usually along the sides of the site. Clicking the icon opens the accessibility menu. After selecting the relevant function in the menu, please wait for the page to load and for the display to update if needed.

To cancel the action, click the same function in the menu again. At any time, accessibility settings can be reset.

The software works in the following popular browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Opera, subject to the manufacturer’s terms. Browsing in accessibility mode is recommended in Chrome.

The website provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies and supports the standard keyboard operation pattern using the arrow keys, Enter, and Esc to exit menus and windows.

For the best experience with screen reader software, we recommend using the latest version of NVDA.

• There is no continuous accessible path from street level, as several steps must be climbed to reach the elevator.
• The hotel has one accessible room, including accessible restroom and shower facilities.
• Identification and directional signage are available throughout the hotel.
• The hotel includes a shelter; however, it is not wheelchair accessible and requires descending approximately 25 stairs.
